Join the Workers’ Memorial Day Remote Vigil

Dear Supporter–

I wanted to make sure you saw Anna’s invitation to our Prayer Vigil on Friday, which is Workers’ Memorial Day.

We’ll have a diverse group of faith leaders offering reflections and prayers in memory of the working people who have lost their lives on the job and to call attention to the president’s proposed cuts to federal health and safety regulations, a move that will mean more working people will die at work.

You can join the prayer vigil via conference call by registering here

Every year, 5,000 people die on the job as a result of hazardous working conditions. If the budget that the president has proposed is enacted, it will mean even more deaths of working people.

I hope you’ll join us to pray for working people and that you’ll continue to be a part of this movement for worker justice each and every day.

For the dignity and respect of all working people,

Laura Barrett
