Hate cannot drive out hate; only LOVE can do that |

Dear Nancy,
At IWJ, we watched the events unfolding in Charlottesville with our eyes glued to the news. We were horrified by white supremacists invoking hate in the name of religion and our country. In response, yesterday we co-sponsored an interfaith vigil in Chicago to remind all those out there who spend their energy to hate and exclude others that we are here, we’re not going away, and that every faith tradition believes in justice.
And more than that — we strengthened our resolve to fight back together. We will continue organizing against racism, islamaphobia, anti-semitism, xenophobia, and all forms of oppression.
Thank you for being right there with us. Given the events of this weekend, we thought it would be a good time to remind everyone in our movement that love wins. Always. Our “Hate Cannot Drive Out Hate” stickers say just that and we want to send you one for free today.
In Solidarity,
Laura Barrett Executive Director Interfaith Worker Justice
